Medical care should be delivered with the utmost quality. Period. That's our primary mission at Holistic Orthopedics. I am proud to employ an outstanding team of skilled providers who serve our community in a unique and profoundly effective manner.
I completed an Advanced Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Washington and am nationally board certified as a Shoulder to Hand Therapist. After graduate school, I studied at the Institute of Structural Medicine a, 2,000 hour training in fascia, the body’s largest organ of connective tissue. Increasing my understanding of connective tissue brought my clinical outcomes to a whole new level.

I am fascinated by fascial tensegrity and functional kinesiology. My graduate research was a national study of upper extremity pain in individuals with spinal cord injury. Much of my professional career was at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle’s Level I Trauma Hospital, where I worked in burns, rehabilitation, and orthopedics. Among my most treasured life experiences, was volunteering in a leprosy hospital in Nepal. For 30 years, I've been researching, studying, and treating connective tissue disorders locally and internationally. In my spare time, you’ll find me backpacking in the high alpine wilderness, skiing, trail running, and attempting to keep up with my two tween-age sons.

Jessica Schultz, COTA/LI’m Jessica, a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and Holistic Health Coach. I have a strong desire for helping and healing and I love working with individuals across the lifespan but have always had a special interest in working with children. I love working with children of all levels of abilities and some of the diagnoses I have worked with include but are not limited to: fine and gross motor concerns, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, sensory processing disorders, reading and writing challenges, traumatic brain injuries, auditory processing concerns, feeding difficulties, anxiety disorders, ADHD, other developmental delays. I have worked in a variety of environments including outpatient clinics, nature- based settings and private schools.
I have extensive training in neuro-based pediatric interventions with focus on the “bottom-up” approach of integrating primitive reflexes and engaging the lower brain systems to improve learning, behavior and function. I also received more extensive training in sound therapies and am a provider of iLs and SSP to children and adults. |
After many years of working with children I became interested in the connection between nutrition and many of the Neurodevelopmental disorders so I decided to further my education and enrolled at the Institute of Integrated Nutrition (IIN). I graduated in 2019 and received an additional certificate in Gut Health in 2020 and have loved integrating my nutrition education with my occupational therapy background to help kids and their families form brain-healthy habits for life! Jessica combines compassion and creativity in her approach along with a blend of evidence-based treatment methods designed to fit the individual’s needs. In my freetime I love traveling, live music, and being active outside
